This Halloween Night was initially themed as "The Haunted Campus" but was replaced by "Halloween Night" by the Director of CIC few days before the event. As the first ever Halloween Night in Crescendo International College organized by the Interim Student Council a.k.a. the Halloween Night Committee, the Halloween Night was regarded as successful by the participation of about 270 attendees including the crews.
By 5.30pm, the participants arrived accordingly. While waiting for the arrival of the special guest, the AUD Toys with Simon Murray, a Hollywood Costume designer, participants enjoyed their dinner and also the make-up session by the make-up crews of Crescendo students. AUD Toys presented their mannequins, props and also masks which are used in some of the Hollywood movie during the Halloween Night, where participants were welcomed to visit their booth. Every 50% of the purchases from AUD Toys will be donated to a girl who is a Leukemia victim.
The visits to Haunted Houses prepared by the crews officially starts at 8.00pm, where there were 3 different entrance: first floor, second floor (including the Moot Court, Room 207,208 and 209), and also the third floor. All of the rooms and floors were fully utilized with different themes and decorations. That was a surprise that the crews were able to complete their decorations within less than two days. One of the crew member, Ashley expressed that they were really running out of time as they could only use the rooms for decoration from Thursday afternoon, and they even stayed over night in the college to finish their decorations. The event finally ended at 11.30pm without any closing ceremony.
The president of the Halloween Committee, Kelvyn Lee said that, " This is a really successful event and we did not expect such big crowd to attend this event." He added that," We really appreciate every participation of the students and lecturers which succeed this event, but I hesitate to organize the next Halloween Night as he was exhausted." While, one of the Spokesman of the Halloween Committee, En Tang said that," We're happy that the Halloween Night was successful as the participants are more than what we expected. It was not easy to organize such an event as we faced the shortage of capital and man power. The college only grant us RM850 for the event and we only charge RM5 per participant. Anyway, we appreciate that college gave us an opportunity to organize such a big event."
